I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really going ahead.
